Sterling Silver Clerical Adornments
Clergy and lay people are understandably often interested in clerical robes and/or appropriate adornments. Crosses fall into the "appropriate adornment" category, and Sterling Silver lends itself well to this type of apparel. Accordingly, we have designed a number of crosses which are worn by both clergy and lay people. They are certainly appropriate for use in the sanctuary during services. Some clergy like to wear them during other ministerial functions, some like to wear them on any occasion.
Our crosses are cut from 14g Sterling Silver sheet material, so they are quite heavy and hang nicely. In general, they measure a little over 3" tall. Some crosses are textured in select places. Some have small Sterling Silver relief design cut-outs. Some have both.
Our Sterling Silver crosses are pieces of rare beauty. People who have them enjoy wearing them. Because they are so special to those who own them, and because we are especially proud of them, we number all these crosses. Of course, they are also signed with our "KD" stamp to authenticate the fact that they were made by Winged Ox. They are finished in the same way as our pendants and earrings, with the exception that they are not tumbled.
Crosses can be specially ordered. You may have a design that you like that we can cut for you from Sterling Silver. Or you may wish to have a larger version one of our designs. Because they are all cut by hand, one at a time, custom work is something we are able to do and even enjoy doing. We will quote you a price when we are confident that we know what your wishes are.
