Custom Christmas ornaments
Christmas is so much about memories! So The Winged Ox, in addition to the standard ornaments pictured below, offers custom ornaments to help to celebrate special occasions. The ornament pictured here celebrates the birth of a baby boy and was prepared so that the parents of the boy will have a very special and tangible way to remember his birth year after year. It will be given to the parents of the boy by the boy's grandparents. It is their hope that the ornament will be passed down through generations, each generation remembering Harrison and, perhaps, other members of the family called to mind by other ornaments.
Christmas tree ornaments make excellent gifts. An ornament will bring to mind the special person who gave the ornament, or the special circumstances during which it was received or purchased. They carry tremendous sentimental value. Yet they are not things that need constant attention. Indeed, they usually get put away after Christmas. But the following year they are placed on the tree once more, again bringing to mind special memories.

Sterling Silver Christmas Tree Ornaments
Our Christmas Tree Ornaments follow the well known tradition of the 16th century carol, "The Twelve Days of Christmas." Made of 22g Sterling Silver sheet material, each ornament is individually cut by hand with the use of a scroll saw and very fine metal piercing blades. Each is therefore unique. These ornaments are collectible pieces. They are sold individually to make it possible for collectors to acquire them at a rate of one or two annually. They are also sold as a set at a 10% discount from full price. Each ornament is stamped with a very small "KD" to signify that it is made by Winged Ox personnel. When purchased as a full set of "Twelve Days of Christmas" Sterling Silver ornaments, each ornament will be numbered, each with the same number. Numbering each unit of the set will increase the value of the set.
It is interesting to note that there may be a liturgical tradition associated with the "Twelve Days of Christmas" carole. It is not possible to know whether or not this tradition is factual, and it does seem rather contrived. But if you are interested in reading more about it, click here.
Our artists did not originate the design of any of these ornaments. Rather, the designs were taken from a very old issue of Home Depot Magazine. However, although they are in the public domain, we have never seen a set, or even one, of these ornaments that has not been made in our shop. So be assured that these ornaments are not common.
The photos of the ornaments were taken in daylight. Because they are highly polished, they reflect something of their surroundings. They will sparkle on your Christmas tree, too, and you will find them most attractive. Guaranteed!
Each ornament, whether sold individually or as a set, comes packaged in its own gift box, as well as "polybags." Keeping it in the bag will keep the ornament bright and fresh through the years.) Gift boxes are shipped in corregated boxes for protection.
